Red Key helps Rogerstone RFC run… and run

So what possible correlation could there be between one of South Wales’ fastest growing letting agents and one of its seasoned local Rugby Clubs? Well in actual fact there are loads of similarities, lessons and quirks which could be highlighted but I have chosen to touch on just three: History, Strategy, and Passion.

History: the rugby club began as result of its success as a Grammar School team in the early 70’s leading them to continue playing together after they left school. A colourful decade of touring, scoring and the crowds roaring culminated in a notorious ‘on-pitch’ scuffle and the formation of Rogerstone RFC in 1982… The club ceased to trade passes in 1996 until it was reformed in 2005 and has now reached the dizzy heights of the WRU League 6 East.

Likewise Red Key Property Services has seen many changes during its time and was born out of its owner’s desire to escape the scuffles and notoriety of some of the larger players in the housing market. It has also moved further afield in recent years and now proudly resides its new South Wales office as well as retaining its original Watford operation.

Strategy: Surely there is no other team event on earth where success depends so much on the ability to channel power, pace, skill and sheer determination into a well-planned tactical strategy, than letting out a property. Consider the strength of character it takes to know every tiny legal detail that needs to be addressed; the speed and accuracy which needs to be employed to make sure that information is passed into the right hands at the right times; and the persistence to see each deal through to the very end. Rugby can be a tough game too…

Passion: Local teams like Rogerstone RFC don’t play for huge salaries and bonuses; they play for their fans and their own personal  love of the game. They know that it matters to those that come out on a cold Saturday to watch; and that’s why they always give their best. They simply do not want to let anyone down. We can’t promise that we will always win; let’s be honest life does not work that way. But we can promise that no one will ever match our commitment to our customers; and we will always work “with, alongside, and for” each and every one of them to ensure they have the best chance of a victory wave.
